a prologue to the plot...
Imagine a world where chaos and destruction has become the new reality; each passing moment becomes a struggle for survival as terrorism continues to heighten in strength and numbers. Deception has become the new secret weapon of the corrupt and fragile Ministry of Magic, who is using what little strength they have to influence the information being leaked to local media outlets. The people of the wizarding world are receiving information that has been warped by the government, and the number of daily casualties reported is never close to accuracy. With the growing threat of the rebellion, a combined force of werewolf and vampire radicals who won't stop at murder if it means getting equal rights with humans, citizens are afraid to leave their homes. Everyone, it seems, has made the mistake of forgetting about the death eaters who have suddenly vanished from the newspapers and public eye. Unbeknownst to Britain, they have been working diligently to covertly overthrow neighboring countries in an effort to bring Europe to its knees. The dreaded mist of lies and secrecy is lingering in the air, and its only a matter of time before everything implodes with a bang. What will happen to a scarred and battered magical society, when even the Ministry is incapable of enforcing its laws and holding their own in the middle of a lethal war? This is Magical Mayhem.

Having been in existence for over two years, Magical Mayhem has had the distinct honor of playing host to some of the most incredible writers and personalities that you will ever discover on the internet. In addition to providing an organized and compelling community to invoke the creative mind and open doors for the potential authors of our future, the members and staff that make up this community have formed an unbreakable friendship and family that always has room for new additions. what sets us apart from other sites...
ACTIVE STAFF TEAM: There are plenty of good sites our there that have died because the administration weren't active or dedicated enough to manage things. Here on Magical Mayhem, we have studied this problem in depth and made it our mission to do the complete opposite. Not only do we strive to do our staff duties with efficiency, speed and with the motivation to be highly organized, but we all have several characters and roleplay just as actively as everyone else. We're involved, we love our members and we do our best to help them so that, hopefully, they feel the same way about us.
ACTIVE MEMBERS: Any good site is nothing without active members, and yet again we take this a step forward. We're a huge family that is always enthusiastic about new members. The support and kindness that people give to each other is truly commendable, and they do all this in the cbox while dishing out tons of posts.
OLD SCHOOL WITH NEW TRICKS: We can all seem to agree that there was nothing better than the old-school magic of roleplaying, back several years ago. Things were simplistic and activity boomed, people got along on big sites and everything was great. We're a comparatively new forum to some our of competitors that have been doing this a lot longer, and it took us some time to discover the secret behind creating an active forum, but we think we've mastered it. People want a forum that brings back the old magic, but isn't afraid to add its own twists to make things more interesting. So what did we do? We gave it to them.
ORGANIZATION: The administration team is obsessed with organization, simply said. If we find out something's not working, we rush to get it fixed just so that everything is in order. We rely on the helpfulness of our members, and our own searches, to get things done - just another example of how we get along so well.
MAYHEM MENTORS We have a special program to help new members get started and make themselves at home, composed of our own veteran members who are more than happy to answer questions, give advice and roleplay with new people.
NEW SKINS Matt, the creator and head administrator, does all of the site's graphics and skins and releases several a year to keep things innovative and fresh. There's never a fear of getting bored with a color scheme.
