Playby:Emmanuelle Chriqui
Name:Lacey Ateara
Age: 19
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Species: Animal Shifter
Physical Description: Being Native American definitely has its advantages in the looks department, or at least it does in Lacey's opinion. Her russet colored skin makes her look like she's always tanned and prevents her from getting burned by the sun. Long dark brown hair cascades over her slender shoulders, framing her face. Her eyes are dark brown and when looking at them closely reveal bits of gold fleck in them. She stands at 5'6" and weighs 119 pounds. Her features are dainty on a slender frame. In her wolf form, Lacey is a gray wolf with golden yellow eyes.
Attitude: Lacey is more of a quiet type. Not that she's shy, but just doesn't talk much. She is more of a listener, an observer, however if she feels strongly about something, she isn't afraid to voice it. Her overall outlook is usually optimistic and her demeanor is laid back. Lacey doesn't let things bother her too much, though she is the type that wears her heart on her sleeve. Balance is a good word used to describe Lacey.[/size]

History: Lacey was born to John and Laura Ateara. John, brother to Quil Ateara Junior, lived most of his life on a reservation in Alaska. That was where he met Laura. Lacey grew up in Alaska with her loving parents. They were always supportive and did their best to provide for her everything she needed. At the age of 17, her parents had been out visiting friends. It was winter and the weather was getting bad quickly, bringing in sleet that made the roads icy. As they had come around a turn, John lost control of the vehicle and slammed into a tree, killing both.
The death of her parents hit Lacey hard and it took a lot of time for her to recover and move forward. She was left a great deal of money from her parents seeing as how she was the only child, but in an effort to help her move on with her life she took a job as a receptionist. This job was more about giving her something to do, to keep her mind distracted and busy, however, Lacey ended up enjoying the job.
As she continued pushing herself forward, Lacey decided she needed to get away for awhile. There were simply too many memories where she lived and she wanted to be closer to her extended family, so she planned to move to La Push where her cousins were. However, her trip preparation was abruptly halted when she began to go through her change. Luckily for Lacey, she had other pack members around as well as others in the reservation to help and guide her.
A few months later, Lacey was ready to make her journey to La Push. By this time, she was 19 years old. She joined Jacob's pack shortly after arriving and found herself a receptionist job at the Forks Veterinary Care which she has found even more enjoyable since she is working around animals all day.

Lacey awoke to the sound of her alarm buzzing on the night stand beside her bed. With a groan she rolled over, reaching out a hand and slapped it into silence. Seven AM seemed to come far too early for her liking. She really did hate mornings, but she was on the schedule for the morning shift and needed to drag herself out of bed. It was times like this when she wondered why she didn't take up employment with a job that had a night shift. She could so totally handle that kind of shift. In fact, it was like she was born to work that shift. That didn't help now though, and so she got up and started the morning by making coffee and getting a shower. The two combined usually did the trick to getting her awake.
After her morning coffee and shower, Lacey got dressed and headed in to work. The schedule was full which Lacey always found appealing because it meant the time would move quickly. Not to mention she was looking forward to spending some time this evening with Leah Clearwater. Since she'd moved into town, Lacey and Leah seemed to get along rather well from the get go. Though, it wasn't just Leah that had given her a warm welcome. The whole tribe and pack welcomed her and helped to make her feel at home. Moving to La Push was definitely the right choice for her.
The sound of the bells giving a jingle as the door opened snapped Lacey out of her thoughts and she looked up to find a young lady carrying a small tan colored Chihuahua who was trembling like a leaf. Why did it seem that so many small dogs would shake that way? Lacey shrugged off the thought and gave the woman a smile. "Please have a seat and we'll be right with you." She marked the appointment book and pulled the dog's file. At least she enjoyed her work, not many people could actually say that.
