History:
She was born in a small town in South Australia on a large sheep and cattle property where she was famous in the district for producing the best working dogs, Australian Kelpies. Stevie won a campdrafting scholarship at 16, winning a 2 year scholarship on the USA Rodeo circuit. She fell in love with America and couldn’t leave. She is now 22 and took on managing a large run down property outside of Forks. The property has 400 head of sheep and 200 head of cattle. She lives alone in a big house on the property. She gets hassled a lot from other land owners because she is a women. She lives with Anzac, her dog sent to her by her parents, he is a young red kelpie, he tries to work the sheep and the cattle but often gets bored and goes chasing birds instead or gets a fright and goes missing for days. She has several horses, he favourite being Charli, a chestnut quarter horse mare that she rode on the rodeo circuit. She has a beautiful black colt “Judd” that she will get around to training one day and Jess another grey quarter horse mare that is Judd’s mum. She really needs help on the property but is too proud to ask due to her stubbornness, instead she does it alone, with things more often than not going wrong. Stevie is rarely seen without her cowboy boots and akubra hat, she is a country girl through and through, something she shares with her father making them both very close despite them living so far apart. She has tried helping her sister but finds her obnoxious and troublesome. She adores her brother but never sees him.
Recently she met someone who is a little different, his entire family is actually. But she isn’t the sort to judge, taking them on their face value and they seem extremely nice, and very kind and caring. He shares her country values, her love of open spaces, the smell of leather on a sweaty horse. He is perfect for her if she can just keep her temper in control.

Stevie put her foot in the stirrup and mounted the chestnut horse that danced sideways slightly before taking off up the river bank at a gallop. The fresh water on her face stung with chill for a few moment as they galloped through the morning mist.
As the fog swirled around the red shapes seemed to appear out of nowhere, she slowed and circled around the mob whom were all lifting their heads to gaze at her. As she circled the furthest best she lifted a hand to her mouth and shouted “Hup, Hup, come on Hup”. Used to the usual command to move, the beasts all seem to groan and in unison start a slow motion march down the hill.
She pushed the mob through the trees, slowly, the sun pushing its way free of the morning cloud causing the little pockets of steam start to rise from the vapourising fog. Stevie smiled happily, it couldn’t get any better than this. Just as she was pondering if she could really do this in her sleep a steer wandered off to the left of the herd. Stevie’s head perked up instantly and she cursed who useless kelpie who had been missing this morning when she got up.
She spurred the mare into a gallop, leaning forward like a jokey low over the mare’s neck she gained ground on the steer fast. The mare raced around the steers head, cutting it off and pushing it back towards the mob. With speed and fast reflexes Stevie rode the mare hard on the steers flank pulling up just short of the mob so that the steer rejoined the rest without disturbing the rest. With a grin of triumph she pulled her hat down low and sunk into the saddle once again.
